"Inside a Box" explores the feeling of living in a box. The box represents both the inner space (feelings, memories) as well as the physical and social space in which access to essential resources is severely restricted. This space often includes people who had to leave their countries of origin for various reasons. Upon arrival in the host country, opportunities are limited, resources scarce, and the people and their way of life are alien. The new strangers are met with mistrust and hostility, but also openness and help. It is a confined space for action whose boundaries are constantly being renegotiated.
